Former Drug Dealer Reveals Truth About Prince

Prince Rogers Nelson’s former drug dealer revealed on Daily Mail Online that he is opiate dependent for over 25 years.

Prince Rogers Nelson, famously known as Prince, was found dead at his house in Chanhassen, Minnesota. This also the location of his Paisley Park recording studio. His unfortunate demise happened on April 21, 2016 at the age of 57. However, his death did not keep his past from resurfacing most especially when his former drug dealer revealed bits of his opiate dependent world which consumed him for over 25 years.

Prince Spends up to $40,000 for 6-month supply of Drugs

The revelation of Prince’s former drug dealer was made with Daily Mail Online. The controversial informant shared information under the name “Dr. D” to hide his or her identity. Without hesitation, he divulged that one of the best selling artists of all time had spent up to $40,000 for a six-month supply of Dilaudid pills and Fentanyl patches, known to be as addictive opioid pain relievers. Prior to his sudden death, the singer was diagnosed with AIDS six months earlier. According to reports, the Jehovah’s Witness pop icon refused treatment because he believed that the Almighty would cure him eventually. His body was cremated in a discreet ceremony held at a funeral home in his hometown the day after his body was found slumped in an elevator in his home. Sources claimed that the musician’s death was the result of him overdosing on Percocet, which is an addictive opiate drug. Prince was classified as “majorly addicted” by Doctor D, adding that he had regularly supplied him orders from 1984 up to 2008.

How Prince’s addiction Started

Prince’s addiction to drugs can be attributed to his physician who had prescribed him pain relievers to alleviate his suffering from a hip condition. Unknown to many, the multi award-winning singer suffered from extreme stage fright which prevented him from facing a crowd without the help of drugs.. One of his other weaknesses also included his phobia in consulting with doctors, thus leaving him without access to legal drug prescriptions.

This is why it came as a surprise for Doctor D when he learned that Prince was reported to have picked up prescription drugs from a local drugstore days before his death. An employee from a local Walgreens pharmacy shared that they were shocked to see the artist so weak picking up his prescriptions. They even told Prince that they were praying for him, to which he answered that they should have prayed a year before if they really meant him well.

Some rumors also surfaced that during one of Prince’s trips, his private plane had to make an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois to have him checked at a nearby hospital. It is still unclear as to whether he really did have the flu or had lost consciousness due to an opiate overdose and had to get a save shot to rescue him. When a person overdoses from an opioid, they will have difficulty in breathing and they can pass out. A “save shot” is given to a person who is suspected to have suffered an opioid overdose wherein the drug blocks and reverses the effects of the opioids.

Prince’s Lawyer is Denying the Allegations

Prince’s lawyer, L. Londell McMillian, denied the allegations directed toward his client. He said that he has known him for 25 years and even acted as his manager at some point in Prince’s career. In fact, he said that people close to the artist were shocked by his death because they all knew him to live a clean and healthy lifestyle.

Currently, Prince’s assets and property are in chaos because he did not have a final will and testament. The value of his estate is still unknown, but sources have said that the icon had been experiencing money problems due to his reluctance to sell the licenses to his recordings. These financial concerns are what prompted a series of concert tours toward the end of his life.

Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, has requested to have a corporate trust company handle the proceedings of what her brother left behind. On the other hand, Bremer Trust was appointed by Judge Kevin Eide as the special administrator who will temporarily manage and supervise the assets and be able to identify heirs. Tyka is Prince’s only full sibling and he also has five half-siblings whom his properties can be divided equally. However, legal experts said that the process is very complicated and will take a long time to resolve.

Prince Rogers Nelson’s Drug Dealer Exposed

Doctor D met Prince sometime in 1984 during the shoot of the actor-singer’s movie Purple Rain. During that time, D said that the artist was already a heavy user. His first purchase was Dilaudid or hydromorphone which is an opioid used to treat pain. He was also sold a drug called black beauties known for its black color and cross tops. This drug falls under amphetamines and used to be marketed as a diet pill. Once induced, the drug stimulated the nervous system which makes the user awake, speeds up his metabolism and controls the user’s appetite. In Prince’s case, he used the black beauty pills to balance the effect of opiates. Later on, Prince stopped using black beauty and only depended on Dilaudid. D said that the singer never ordered heroin as this drug is so detrimental to your health, leaving a user feeling its effects for days. Whereas, Dilaudid gives the energy kick, but at the same time gives a feeling of being relaxed which is highly preferred by Prince.

Doctor D further believes that if Prince had been prescribed with Percocet, (which is also a drug for pain medication) by doctors, then it may have been the combination of Tylenol and opiates in the drug which caused his death. Doctor D believes that if Prince had only ingested Dilaudid, then he would still be alive. Although Dilaudid has a stronger effect than Percocet, what made the latter deadly is its combination with Tylenol. It is also prohibited to use this drug in combination with other narcotic substances. He assumed that Prince may have taken more than the usual dosage because he was already numb from its effects.

Based upon his interactions with the star, Doctor D called Prince a pill man. He limited his intake to pills so that there would be physical evidence of the use of drugs, avoiding scrutiny by the public and his fans. . Dr. D also said that Prince was not a party guy and only needed continuous supply so he can feel comfortable around other people. When they met, D recalled that Prince was still in a good condition. He described the artist as someone who ate salad with a skinless chicken breast with no dressing. D thought that it was probably his way of counteracting the huge amount of drugs he was taking.

Prince’s orders would increase as he was subjected to more stress, such as when he had an upcoming concert. Dr. D narrated that Prince bought extra large supplies before his huge performances such as the Miami Superbowl held in 2007 and the Coachella appearance he made in 2008. He never had an appearance without drugs which became his basic necessity. Dr. D said that Prince bought in bulk, purchasing as much as 20 boxes at a time.

The height of Prince’s drug abuse came during times of extended exposure to people, such as during tapings and shoots. As he became famous, people would tend to be near him all the time and that make him want more drugs.
