Prince Rogers Nelson, famously known as Prince, was found dead at his house in Chanhassen, Minnesota. This also the location of his Paisley Park recording studio. Prince Spends up to $40,000 for 6-month supply of Drugs
The revelation of Prince’s former drug dealer was made with Daily Mail Online. The controversial informant shared information under the name “Dr. D” to hide his or her identity. Without hesitation, he divulged that one of the best selling artists of all time had spent up to $40,000 for a six-month supply of Dilaudid pills and Fentanyl patches, known to be as addictive opioid pain relievers. Prior to his sudden death, the singer was diagnosed with AIDS six months earlier. According to reports, the Jehovah’s Witness pop icon refused treatment because he believed that the Almighty would cure him eventually. His body was cremated in a discreet ceremony held at a funeral home in his hometown the day after his body was found slumped in an elevator in his home. Sources claimed that the musician’s death was the result of him overdosing on Percocet, which is an addictive opiate drug. Prince was classified as “majorly addicted” by Doctor D, adding that he had regularly supplied him orders from 1984 up to 2008.

Currently, Prince’s assets and property are in chaos because he did not have a final will and testament. Doctor D met Prince sometime in 1984 during the shoot of the actor-singer’s movie Purple Rain. During that time, D said that the artist was already a heavy user. His first purchase was Dilaudid or hydromorphone which is an opioid used to treat pain. He was also sold a drug called black beauties known for its black color and cross tops. This drug falls under amphetamines and used to be marketed as a diet pill. Once induced, the drug stimulated the nervous system which makes the user awake,speeds up his metabolism and controls the user’s appetite. In Prince’s case, he used the black beauty pills to balance the effect of opiates. Later on, Prince stopped using black beauty and only depended on Dilaudid. Doctor D believes that if Prince had only ingested Dilaudid, then he would still be alive. Although Dilaudid has a stronger effect than Percocet, what made the latter deadly is its combination with Tylenol. It is also prohibited to use this drug in combination with other narcotic substances. He assumed that Prince may have taken more than the usual dosage because he was already numb from its effects.
Based upon his interactions with the star, Doctor D called Prince a pill man. He limited his intake to pills so that there would be physical evidence of the use of drugs, avoiding scrutiny by the public and his fans. . Dr. D also said that Prince was not a party guy and only needed continuous supply so he can feel comfortable around other people. When they met, D recalled that Prince was still in a good condition. He described the artist as someone who ate salad with a skinless chicken breast with no dressing. D thought that it was probably his way of counteracting the huge amount of drugs he was taking.
Prince’s orders would increase as he was subjected to more stress, such as when he had an upcoming concert. Dr. D narrated that Prince bought extra large supplies before his huge performances such as the Miami Superbowl held in 2007 and the Coachella appearance he made in 2008.
